Georgia State University is a leading research university committed to providing our students with an affordable education in a stimulating academic environment. We want our students to achieve their academic, and career goals and do what we can to make it possible.

The Institute for Biomedical Sciences is making strides to advance human health. By working with research collaborators in the US and globally, we have made exciting progress on biomedical patents and inventions that will save human lives and improve patient care.

Since our establishment in 2014, we have advanced in biomedical sciences through synergistic collaboration. Our program has an innovative approach to education and prepares graduates for exciting careers in the biomedical industry or advanced degrees in science. If you are passionate about patient care and dream of working in an environment that works to prevent diseases, you are a perfect fit for our program.

We don't expect you to have it all figured out, we're here to help you navigate this new chapter of your life. If you're on campus, take advantage of University Career Services where you can get hands-on support, like career counseling and mock interviews. If you're virtual, we offer online resources like College to Career which aims to help students build their career path, and Handshake, a website that helps college students find internships and jobs.

Georgia State transforms the lives of our students, we advance the frontiers of knowledge and shape future leaders. We have curated a welcoming environment for students of all backgrounds and we will continue to promote diversity and inclusion for all. We’ve told you everything you need to know about us and now the decision is yours. The next four years will be both the most important and best years of your life. We’re happy to welcome you to GSU and hope you will make your journey with us. See you in the fall!
