Georgia State University is a leading research university committed to providing our students with an affordable education in a stimulating academic environment. We want our students to achieve their academic, and career goals and do what we can to make it possible.

Welcome to the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies. Did you know that we were named one of the top policy schools in the nation? We’re ranked No. 21 among the nation’s public affairs colleges, No. 7 in local government management, No. 8 in public finance & budgeting, No. 8 in urban policy, and No. 9 in nonprofit management graduate programs.

The School of Policy Studies aims to prepare students to be future policymakers and industry professionals. You’ll be immersed in empowering experiences and challenged with innovative research projects. Many of our students have gone on to work for the government and nonprofit organizations. While others have gone into law enforcement and education. One thing that all of our students have is a desire to make a positive impact on society. We’re happy to welcome more change makers and can’t wait to help you achieve your goals.

We don't expect you to have it all figured out, we're here to help you navigate this new chapter of your life. If you're on campus, take advantage of University Career Services where you can get hands-on support, like career counseling and mock interviews. If you're virtual, we offer online resources like College to Career which aims to help students build their career path, and Handshake, a website that helps college students find internships and jobs.

Georgia State transforms the lives of our students, we advance the frontiers of knowledge and shape future leaders. We have curated a welcoming environment for students of all backgrounds and we will continue to promote diversity and inclusion for all. We’ve told you everything you need to know about us and now the decision is yours. The next four years will be both the most important and best years of your life. We’re happy to welcome you to GSU and hope you will make your journey with us. See you in the fall!
